FAQ
Aftercare
The healing process of your tattoo is about two weeks.
The main goal is keeping your tattoo dry and clean.
Keep the provided bandage on for the instructed amount of time.
In the first 24-48 hours after getting your tattoo, blood, plasma, and ink may seep from your tattoo potentially staining sheets or clothing, so be aware.
Wash your tattoo twice a day with unscented soap (I recommend Baby Dr. Bronners or Dial Gold)
Moisturize your tattoo after washing with unscented lotion (I recommend CeraVe or Aveeno)
Aquaphor is okay for the first few days of healing but I recommend switching to lotion which will absorb more into the skin.
Make sure anything that touches your new tattoo is clean.
Wear soft breathable clothing that keeps your tattoo covered and protected from the elements.
Do not submerge your tattoo under water until fully healed.
No baths, hot tubs, hot springs, pools, saunas, or steam rooms.
No gyms or activities where you’ll be sweating a lot or your tattoo wont be able to stay clean.
No picking or scratching. Gently slapping can relieve some of the itching sensation.
If second skin is applied, keep the bandage on for 3-5 days. To remove bandage, run warm water over the bandage and slowly and gently peel it off. Unscented soap and warm water can help to loosen the adhesive. Run your tattoo under warm water and gently wash the ink and plasma off of your tattoo.
Wash and moisturize your tattoo twice a day until fully healed & follow the directions above.
